BIOGRAPHY
Kathy
Taylor was born in Southern California and currently resides in Phoenix,
Arizona. Kathy has been painting for the past 25 years and exhibits in
numerous galleries throughout the Southwest and the San Francisco Bay
Area. Taylor is also the Art Director for MTAP, a collaborative art project
that combines creative expression with family ritual.

ARTIST STATEMENT
Creating is my meditation. It is this act that allows me
to stay in the present moment. I paint to "see" the truth and
through the process I am able to find the answers I seek on my journey
to self-realization. Using the 
media
of paint, collage, pencil and wax, as the vehicle for expression, the
creative process becomes a form of alchemy, discovery and adventure. The
basis for each painting is the on-going search for spiritual truth in
a sometimes harsh and chaotic world. By eliminating the unnecessary, what
is not seen is just as important as what is seen. The images and symbols
that remain evoke feelings that are ancient in origin but familiar to
the soul.
